Live Facial Recognition Operation outside Clapham Junction Station 10th March 2026

Hello resident,

Local neighbourhood policing teams conducted a Live Facial Recognition (LFR) operation outside Clapham Junction station yesterday. The system was deployed with a watchlist consisting of individuals wanted for offences and those subject to court-imposed conditions.

Previous deployments of LFR in Clapham Junction have proven highly effective.

Officers successfully arrested a number of suspects, one of which was involved in drugs. In addition, individuals were stopped in relation to court-imposed conditions, with checks confirming that all were complying.

These operations help us locate wanted offenders quickly and ensure individuals subject to restrictions are complying with the conditions set by the courts. We will continue to use a range of policing tactics to keep Battersea safe.
